Routes from Narita and Haneda to IGO HOTEL (Shinjuku Ward) are completely different. Below, we've organized the fastest and most economical routes for each airport, plus taxi costs for late-night arrivals.
From Narita Airport (NRT)
01|Narita Express|80 minutes direct to Shinjuku Station
Direct JR Express to Shinjuku Station, ¥3,250 / 80 minutes. 8-minute walk from Shinjuku Station to IGO HOTEL——**90 minutes total**.
Most comfortable, spacious luggage area, and no transfers needed.
02|Skyliner + JR Yamanote Line|70 min with transfer
Skyliner to Nippori (¥2,580 / 40 minutes), transfer to JR to Shin-Okubo Station (¥210 / 7 minutes), 5-minute walk to the hotel——**Total 90 minutes**.
¥460 cheaper than N'EX, but requires transferring with luggage. Chose this route based on budget considerations.
03|Keisei Limousine Bus|90-120 minutes *Subject to traffic conditions
Bus to Shinjuku West Exit ¥3,600 / 90–120 minutes. **The only option after late-night trains stop running**, with direct boarding from the airport—no need to drag luggage.
Traffic congestion may take up to 150 minutes.
From Haneda Airport (HND)
04|Monorail + JR Yamanote Line|50 minutes fastest
Take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho (¥520 / 18 minutes), transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Shin-Okubo (¥210 / 18 minutes), then walk 5 minutes to the hotel——**Total 55 minutes**.
The cheapest and fastest option, but you'll need to drag your luggage and transfer.
05|Keikyu + JR Yamanote Line|60 minutes
Take the Keikyu Main Line to Shinagawa (¥320 / 14 minutes), then transfer to JR to Shin-Okubo (¥220 / 24 minutes).
Similar to the Monorail route, it depends on which terminal you arrive at.
06|Taxi|Late Night ¥7,000-10,000
60–75 minutes from Haneda to Shinjuku, fare ¥7,000–10,000 (20% surcharge after midnight). **Sharing with 4 people is more economical.**
A taxi from Narita to Shinjuku costs over ¥20,000, making it hardly a viable option.
Daytime: Narita Express from Narita, Monorail + JR from Haneda. Late night: Keisei Limousine Bus from Narita, taxi from Haneda.
